Trigger Point is a creative collaboration of curators and artists. It has evolved through a series of project exhibitions events and publications, led by Jaspar Joseph Lester, Susanne Prinz and Julie Westerman
Biographies
JASPAR JOSEPH-LESTER is an artist, Reader in Art & Post-Urbanism and Head of MA Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in London. His work explores the conflicting ideological frameworks embodied in representations of urban renewal and social organisation. He has exhibited his work internationally and is author of Revisiting the Bonaventure Hotel (Copy Press, 2012) and editor of Walking Cities: London (Routledge, 2019).
SUSANNE PRINZ is a curator and writer based in Berlin. Currently she is the director of L40-Kunstverein at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (Berlin). Since its relocation in 2009, Prinz has presented close to 100 exhibitions and events. Her special focus is on art in the public realm and time-based art. In addition to her curatorial work she has taught at art academies in Germany and abroad, presently at the University of Art (UdK), Berlin.
JULIE WESTERMAN Works as an artist and collaborates on large-scale curatorial projects. Current research engages with anxieties over global warming and climatic events. Curatorial projects include Brutalist Speculations and Flights of Fancy; Tegel: Flights of Fancy, Berlin. Public Art commissions include Thinly Veiled, Grand Opera House, Belfast; Critical Mass, Wolverhampton University; and Illuminated Carpet, Festival of Enlightenment, Durham.
